 Reaching out to Telford's homeless

 The Salvation Army

About KiP

KiP aims to provide an appropriate response to homeless individuals throughout the year, especially through the cold winter months.

Our goal is to help alleviate rough sleeping, through partnership with Maninplace, Telford & Wrekin Council, supported accommodation providers, and also where appropriate, private landlords and short term B&Bs.

We want to know where people are rough sleeping so that we can assist and offer support and advice. Also, to better evaluate the problem of rough sleeping in the area.

Kip Aims

• To be the first point of contact for homeless people in Telford whom the Local Authority are not obliged to house.

• To help single homeless people in Telford find accommodation.

• To beat the national target of ‘No Second Night Out’ by engaging with rough sleepers at the earliest opportunity.

• To provide a quality support service, especially to rough sleepers, and provide a safe space at drop-in.

• To ensure that individuals access the appropriate agencies.

• To raise awareness of homelessness by highlighting and recording the numbers of people suffering from homelessness within Telford & Wrekin
